Climate of Hope

As Michael Crow told me recently there is "not enough conversation on climate." We courageously challenge climate change denialism, advocating for transparency and accountability in addressing these urgent challenges. Our book includes the writings of Pope Francis, who urges us to use a combination of faith and science to save our planet. It also includes a speech by Albert Gore. We have attached several items, including the front/back cover highlighting endorsements from powerful voices in the field of sustainability and a film clip of both Dr. Gilderbloom sharing the introductory premise for the film and Carla J. Snyder reading the Pope’s prayer from the book, both captured in Rome, Italy.

In a time of profound despair, this book forges a path towards a sustainable future. Amid climate chaos, we present strategies to slash greenhouse gas emissions by 80%. Advocating for the creation of safe, healthy, and thriving communities worldwide, this book combines hard science, technology, and progressive planning to reverse climate change. It offers a bold yet practical vision for sustainable living. Social sciences can play a pivotal role in terms of exposing the cover-up of industry polluters, identifying problems, and coming up with common sense solutions to reverse the chaos that is killing people, places, and the planet.

This book has inspired three-time Emmy award winner Chris Nolan to develop the documentary, Climate of Hope: Cities Saving the World. Check it out here: climateofhopefilm.org

This film presents a new, more positive and proactive take on climate change. It focuses on how 7,000 cities are making a real difference in mitigating climate change and how we can reduce 80% of greenhouse gases now. New cutting-edge technology and data from satellites, such as those from the European Space Agency, are allowing cities to hit their decarbonization goals and significantly reduce CO2, pollution, and planet-killing threats.
